Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu Movie Review

Film: Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu
Rating:3.25/5
Starring: Venkatesh,Mahesh babu,Samantha,Anjali,Prakash Raj,Jayasudha
Director: Srikanth Addala
Producer: Dil Raju
Banner: Sri Venkateswara Creations
Music: Mickey.J.Meyer

Story:

SVSC story revolves around a village Relangi and a middle class family in the place headed by Prakash Raj called Relangi Mavayya, who is the most respectable person. He gives importance to human values and family relations than wealth and his two sons Peddodu (Venkatesh) is a straight forward natured emotional yet responsible person who doesn’t like to bow down among others while Chinnodu (Mahesh Babu) is charming, intelligent and attracts people with his witty nature falls for Geetha (Samantha), daughter of rich person (Rao Ramesh). Seetha (Anjali) an innocent girl lost her parents who have been raised by her Uncle Relangi Mavayya. She has feelings for Peddodu since her childhood. Story takes a twist that leads to dispute and parting ways between brothers at their sister's (Abhinaya) marriage. How does the family deal with the situations forms the crux.

Performances:

Venkatesh brings in lot of dignity to his role of a straight forwarded nature guy who has good love and affection towards his younger brother. Venkatesh does an emotional character that makes you completely accept him.

Mahesh Babu is natural, charming as always and he has an amazing screen presence. The Super Star is entertaining with his one-liners in Godavari slang and his comictiming is worth mentioning. His scenes with Venkatesh are a visual treat to watch.

Anjali steals the show as an innocent Seetha role. She has a good screen presence, despite not having many dialogues she impresses with her expressions.

Samantha is gorgeously cute and her chemistry with Mahesh once again rocks. The duo looked very cute in the film.

Prakash Raj has a meaty role and he is natural along with Jayasudha. Rao Ramesh is impressive, Ahuthi Prasad, Rama Prabha, Ravi Babu are entertaining.

Technical Analysis:

Guhan’s cinematography is on top class and the visuals looked colorful and rich through out. The songs composed by Mickey J Meyer are lavishly shot while his songs are pleasant and soulful to ears. Background score by Mani Sharma is an asset. Dialogues are entertaining and editing is neat. Srikanth Addala scores good points for handling two top stars characters quite well, while his direction and story telling is decent.

Analysis:

The makers of SVSC have made it possible of bringing two top stars Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu together and Srikanth Addala managed to show very good chemistry between the lead stars. Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu works for its perfect casting. Despite the wafer-thin line story, excellent performances by the entire cast are the major asset. Mahesh Babu has pulled off the role with ease and his comic timing is amazing. Srikanth Addala has succeeded in showing the beautiful bond between the bothers and emotions and relationships in a family. The narration goes in a cool manner with no major twists or twirls in the story but the film is realistic and convincing without any cinematic drama. The ambiance in joint families and healthy relationships is naturally shown through the main character Prakash Raj that will definitely connect well with the family audiences. While the first half movies at a good pace, it’s the second half that gets a bit slow. The characters are introduced in the first half and the story begins only in the second half but there are feel good heart touching moments all through the SVSC. We get to watch top stars sharing the screen space very rarely and Srikanth Addala utilizez the opportunity in making it a feel-good drama.

Final Verdict:

A captivating feel-good entertainer on relations and bonding!!!

Nayak Movie Review

Film: Naayak
Rating:3.25/5
Starring: Ram Charan,Kajal Agarwal,Amala Paul
Director: VV.Vinayak
Producer: DVV Danayya
Banner: Universal Media
Music: Thaman

Story:

Cherry (Ram Charan), a software engineer and a happy go lucky guy falls for Madhu (Kajal Aggarwal), a local don Gandipeta Babji’s (Rahul Dev) sister while saving his uncle Jilebi (Brahmanandam) from Babji. On the other hand, a series of murders will take place in Hyderabad and CBI team suspects Cherry and when cops trap him, the situation leads to unexpected twist. How does Cherry gets free from situations forms the crux of the story.

Performances:

Ram Charan has delivered a matured performance and his dances are a visual treat to watch out for. His voice modulation and comic timing are more improved. Ram Charan carried off the dual roles with much ease

Kajal Agarwal looked gorgeous and she acted well. Her scenes with Ram Charan have come out quite well.

Amala Paul has limited role but she looked good. She danced well in the Hey Naayak song while her Subhalekha Rasukunna song was one of the highlights of the movie.

Brahmanandam as Jilebi and Jaya Prakash Reddy rocked the screens in the first half with brilliant comic timing. Posani Krishna Murali is entertaining in the second half along with MS Narayana. Rahul Dev, Pradeep Rawat, Dev Gill are decent, Rajeev Kanakala makes his mark.

Technical Analysis:

Chota K Naidu cinematography is brilliant and the songs scored by Thaman are superbly shot in the exotic beautiful locales. Thaman’s background score helps in elevating scenes. Akula Shiva’s dialogues are fine. Editing by Gautam Raju is good. Production values are lavish.

Analysis:

Naayak don’t offer you uniqueness or freshness in terms of story but provides you the needed entertainment quotient with no boring moments. The pace of the movie is quite fast which helped in the proceedings. Director Vinayak played it safe with the regular commercial formula of the right mix of action, love and entertainment. While Ram Charan amazes with his dances, action and emotional scenes, actors Brahmanandam, Jayaprakash Reddy, Posani Krishna Murali and MS Narayana provides ample entertainment. All the songs have been brilliantly shot and the movie is technically sound. Despite few loopholes and cinematic liberties, the right mix of ample commercial elements works well for Naayak. The first half of the movie moves with good comedy by Brahmanandam and Jaya Prakash Reddy and Charan-Kajal scenes while interval block gets interesting and the film gets a bit predictable in the second half with the twist being revealed. Nevertheless, the mass elements and entertainment quotient is high in Naayak which would one expect from mass entertainers.

Final Verdict:

Ram Charan scores it again with perfect formulaic entertainer!!!

Sevakudu Movie Review

Film: Sevakudu
Rating:1.5/5
Starring: Srikanth,Charmi,Ramya Krishnan,Bhuvaneswari,Taslima
Director: V.Samudra
Producer: N Sudhakar
Banner: Sri Venkataramana Art Production
Music: Srikanth Deva

Story:

When a head constable Ramachandrayya (Nasser) fails miserably in his attempt to correct the corrupt police department, he swears to prepare his son Surya (Srikanth) to take up the challenge. He raises his son with the sole intention of making him a police officer such that he could bring about a change in the police system and in turn, in the society. How does the son mend a corrupt police force and society? This forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Srikanth plays the lead, bestowed upon with the opportunity to save the police system, he has a lot to offer and he succeeds in it. Charmi doesn't quite have much to do as an actress because her role is mostly a sleaze fest. Comedy falls short of evoking any laughter, let alone entertain.

Technical Analysis:

"Sevakudu" has very little too impress, while its music is passable. The direction lacks a sense of responsibility and vigor, and therefore fails to leave a lasting impact on the audiences.

Analysis:

Call it passé or simply lazy filmmaking at its best, but all that "Sevakudu" manages at the end of the film is present you with a rehash of several Telugu films released over the years. Despite Srikanth's dignified performance, the film fails to evoke interest due to its uninspiring story.

To assume the audience will embrace a theme that has been milked dry, is sheer thoughtlessness of the director. And to present a cornier story is even more irresponsible and proves the lack of passion of the entire team behind this project. What begins as a cliched story gets even more boring thanks to multiple sub-plots and an unneeded love angle.

Had only the director stuck to the crux of the plot - a young man's fight to make a corrupt-free police department, I suppose the film would've left an impact. But, sadly the story deviates from its chosen path and struggles to convey what it was supposed to deliver at the first place. Moreover, no matter how clichéd the story of a film could be, but if presented differently, it is sure to draw some attention.

If you were to take scenes from Telugu films such as "Bobbli Pulli" and "Tagore", then one could easily make his or her own version of "Sevakudu". Director Samudra hardly seems to have put in any effort to breathe life into the film. All that he manages to do in this movie is pack it with lots of action sequences, a romantic angle involving a glamorous heroine, few songs and pages of highly emotional patriotic dialogues.

Final Verdict : All style, no substance…

Genius Movie Review

Film: Genius
Rating:2.25/5
Starring: Havish, Sanusha,Sarath Kumar,Ashwin,Abhinaya
Director: Ohmkar
Producer: Dasari Kiran Kumar
Banner: Ramadootha Creations
Music: Joshua Sridhar

Story:

Nivas (Havish) gets inspired by Nanaji, (Pradeep Rawat) an MLA while his friends Yaasir a fan of cricketer Nizamuddin (Adarsh)and Koti a fan of Peddapuram Peda Babu (Ashish Vidyardhi). However, the three of them quickly realizes that their matinee idols are quite selfish and goes to any extent for their personal interests. Nivas, Yaasir and Koti decides to take revenge on them and in the process Sarath Chandra (Sarath Kumar), a special officer gets into the job on investigating the murders. Rest of the story forms the crux.

Performances:

Havish looks good but he fails to give apt expressions for the scenes and carries similar expression all through.

It’s the same with heroine Sanusha, who looks good but performance-wise she fails.

Sarath Kumar has a good role and he delivers his best, Brahmanandam entertains to the most providing us some sort of relief, Ashish Vidyardhi is decent and Pradeep Rawat is okay. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Annapurna and others were adequate.

Technical Analysis:

Music is below average while the background score is strictly okay. Placement of songs hampers the flow. Screenplay is inconsistent while editing is pathetic. Dialogues are outdated. Ohmkar’s direction skills are below par while Production values are standard.

Analysis:

The movie takes off well with few good notable dialogues but the lead stars performances will never make you connect to the scenes. Few of the scenes involving Brahmanandam, Sarath Kumar scenes in the first half and a series of murders may create some interest but the inconsistent screenplay and untimely songs test the patience. The second half falls flat and the climax is quite disappointing. The message delivered is misleading though the film is made with a good intention.

Final Verdict:

Poor narration with unconvincing climax!!!

Ko Ante Koti Movie Review

Film: Ko Ante Koti
Rating:2.75/5
Starring: Sharwanand,Priya Anand,Srihari
Director: Anish Yohan Kuruvilla
Producer: Sharwanand
Banner: Sarvaa Arts
Music: Shakti Kanth Karthick

Story:

Maya Master (Sri Hari) is a professional thief and this time, he plans to rob hefty sum to get settled with it. For that he plans for a team and takes in Vamsi(Sharwnand) and a couple of other goons. They form a gang and plans to work out things for the day and successfully does the job. However, the group gets caught due to a person from the gang backstabbing the rest. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Sharwanand as always proves that he is talented actor. He delivers good performance for the challenging role and like always, he chooses a different script.

Priya Anand looks simple yet elegant and she has a good number of romantic scenes with Sharwanand that were well-executed. She is realistic and convincing.

Srihari is major asset of the film. His performance is perfect and does the raw role with such ease and his dialogues are too good.

Technical Analysis:

Cinematography is fine, while the musical scores are good, Songs are well-shot, Dialogues are apt for the genre film, Editing is crisp while the screenplay is falters. Anish Kuruvilla’s direction is okay. Action choreography is good and the film is technically brilliant.

Analysis:

Anish Kurivilla has an interesting storyline and well-etched characterizations with good performers but he falters in the execution at times. The narration is uninteresting with slow pace and screenplay isn’t gripping enough which is required for such stories. The twists and twirls in the second half create some interest but that isn’t enough for such genre films. The lead actors Sharwanand, Priya Anand, Srihari have done very good job and the film had a realistic feel. Dialogues between Sharwanand and Srihari are impressive. The slow pace and the confusing narration plays the spoilsport in the first half while the story gets interesting in the second half only. The narration in shuffling of flashback and present mode is a bit confusing. Ko Ante Koti could have made a decent crime thriller with good narration.

Final Verdict:

Ko Ante Koti makes a decent watch if you excuse the slow pace in first half!!!

Yamudiki Mogudu Movie Review

Film: Yamudiki Mogudu
Rating:2.75/5
Starring: Allari Naresh, Richa Panai, Sayaji Shinde,Ramya Krishna
Director: E.Satti Babu
Producer: Chanti Addala
Banner: Friendly Movies
Music: Koti

Story:

Naresh (Allari Naresh) born with super natural powers with a mistake by Lord Brahma. Naresh who fails to pass intermediate does stage shows and in this regard he falls in NaradhaMuni’s trick ending up marrying Yamaja (Richa), Yamadharmaraja’s daughter who comes to Bhoolokam. Yamaja takes it seriously while Naresh hesitates his marriage initially but later falls in love with her. When everything falls in place, Yamadarmaraja (Sayaji Shinde) who comes to know about his daughter marriage takes her back to Yamalokam while Naresh who has the super natural powers follows him to the Yamalokam. The rest of the story is to be watched on the screens.

Performances:

Allari Naresh as usual is incredible in his comic timing and entertains you to the core. He did his best to pull off the role and is good in his dances as well.

Richa Panai is slim and glamorous but she needs to work on her acting skills and expressions. Her costumes are awkward while the dubbing has not suited her.

Sayaji Shinde as Lord Yama is alright while Master Bharath rocks the show. The Bommarillu spoof has come out well. Ramya Krishna gave her best though her role was not etched well. Krishna Bhagawan is good, Tanikella Bharani is regular, Raghu Babu, Jyothi are vulgar.

Technical Analysis:

Music by Koti doesn’t impress you, and it’s only the remix track of Attho Atthamma kuthuro that grabs interest in masses. Background Score is just okay. Cinematography has nothing to boast of. Screenplay is sloppy and editing could have been crispier. Dialogues in the first half are good, direction is just okay. Production values are good.

Analysis:

Besides the clichéd story, the first half of Yamudiki Mogudu has good one liners and rhyming dialogues. Allari Naresh shows his incredible comic timing while Master Bharath, Sayaji Shinde, Raghu Babu, Krishna Bhagawan supports him well. However, the second half of the film is slow paced and few of the scenes like Allari Naresh dressing as a woman and scenes between Allari Naresh, Ramya Krishna looked inane. The climax is absurd and emotional depth in scenes lack. The only song that clicks is 'Atto Attamma Kuthuro' remix which is packed with raunchy dance movements by Ramya Krishna, Naresh and Richa Panai, that will go well with front-benchers. The plot goes out of pace several times but the director manages it with the spoofs on films and double-meaning dialogues. Though parts of the first half are entertaining, the second half fails to hold your interest.

Final Verdict:

A better second half might have made Yamudiki Mogudu an enjoyable fare!!!

Gajaraju Movie Review

Film: Gajaraju
Rating:2.75/5
Starring: Vikram Prabhu,Lakshmi Menon,Thambi Ramaiah
Director: Prabu Solomon
Producer: Bellamkonda Suresh
Banner: Sri Sai Ganesh Productions
Music: D.Imman

Story:

Boppanna [Vikram Prabhu] shares a great rapport with his elephant, Manikyam and both lives together. Temporarily, Boppanna heads to a tribal village Devagiri to save one of his well-wishers and due to circumstances pretends his elephant Manikyam to be kumki and helps the villagers in chasing wildlife elephants from the village.

Meanwhile, Boppanna happens to see Singi [Lakshmi Menon], daughter of village head and falls for her. As the story proceeds, there occurs a situation where Boppanna and Manikyam have to chase a wild and mischievous elephant which destroys houses and crops of farmers every year.

Did Kumki and Boppanna succeeded in chasing the elephant? Will the villagers get rid of the problem forms the crux of Gaja Raju…

Performances:

Vikram Prabhu has given a convincing performance especially his understanding with the elephant is incredible. Being son of Prabhu Ganesan and grandson of Sivaji Ganesan there were good expectations on Vikram Prabhu. And the actor has excelled with his performance in the debutant venture itself. Lakshmi Menon has proved her mettle and delivered a good performance.

Thambi Ramaiah has surpassed with his timing and he is a treat to watch. Beyond these, the other cast had no good or convincing roles.

Technical Analysis:

Gajaraju has got one of the finest camera works from Sukumar. The forest locales were scenic and beautifully captured. Songs composed by D. Imman are good and they look more beautiful on screen with Sukumar’s photography. Screenplay is predictable at times and pace is slow. Editing is fine. Seshank Vennelakanti’s dialogues are okay.

Analysis:

Brilliant cinematography by Sukumar is one of the major assets of Gajaraju that keeps you hooked to the screens. The plot line is quite good but its wafer thin line which is revealed in the first hour itself, it moves on predictable mode and the pace of the story is slow. While the tragedy climax might not appeal to all, the fight shot looked unrealistic due to its poor quality CGI effects. Gajaraju has lot of Tamil nativity which might not liked by most of the Telugu audiences.

Final Verdict:

Gajaraju is an Innovative story with brilliant camera work; but go for it, if you don’t mind excessive Tamil nativity.

Sarocharu Movie Review

Film: Sarocharu
Rating:2.75/5
Starring: Ravi Teja,Kajal Agarwal,Richa Gangopadhyay
Director: Parasuram
Producer: Priyanka Dutt
Banner: Three Angels Studios
Music: Devi Sri Prasad

Story:

Sandhya (Kajal), who is a college student falls in love with Karthik (Ravi Teja) at a first sight and she proposes him. But Karthik doesn’t accept her and tells her his past in a flight back to India. Karthik reveals about his love and married life with Vasu (Richa Gangopadhyay) and they are seeking to take divorce. When Sandhya believes all this and there comes a twist that changes entire situations. what is the twist and whom will Karthik end up with forms the crux.

Performances:

Ravi Teja does a classy role in the film unlike his previous mass masala typical comedy roles. His expressions are good, while he limits his energy levels.

Nara Rohit has done a special role and he has done a fine job in the movie. His role lasts for 25 minutes and scenes featuring him shaped up well.

Kajal Agarwal’s tomboy role in the first half is good and she impresses with her expressions. Kajal has gained weight and she need to take care on it.

Richa Gangopadhyay is cute and her role adds weight to the movie, Jayasudha is good, MS Narayana is hilarious, Srinivas Reddy is wasted. Others were adequate.

Technical Analysis:

Vijay Chakravarthy’s cinematography is classy and the songs and scenes in Europe locales are beautifully captured. Devi Sri Prasad’s music is good while the background score is ear-pleasing. Editing could have been crisp in the first half. Parasuram direction is okay while the dialogues are good.

Analysis:

Parasuram tried to showcase Ravi Teja in a class romantic role but the problem is Ravi Teja looked old for the character of Karthik. MS Narayana comedy evokes laughter providing you the relief in the first half. The lead character turns preachy that takes you to boredom. The pace of the film drops here and there while the songs placement hampers the narration flow. DSP composed songs are shot well in European locations. Editing could have been crisp in the first half. It’s only the second half that impresses you slightly with a couple of twists though they don’t make a tough guess for the regular moviegoers. Nara Rohit’s cameo is interesting and he has acted well. Parasuram standout in dialogues department than the direction. However, as per the screenplay and pace the second half is far better than the former and there are few certain good moments.

Final Verdict:

Saarocharu has few good moments that makes a decent one time watch.

Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu Movie Review

Movie: Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu
Rating:2.75/5
Starring: Nani,Samantha,Krishnudu, Vidhyu, Anupama
Director: Gautham Menon
Producer: Bellamkonda Suresh
Banner: Photon Kathaas ,RS Infotainment
Music: Ilayaraja

Story:

Varun (Nani) and Nithya (Samantha) like each other from childhood which turns into love. But the duo keeps breaking up multiple times over minor issues. And while in the college days, the duo part ways again with Nithya getting too possessive about Varun and a brief discussion makes them go for break-up for umpteenth time. Will Varun and Nithya meet again? Will they succeed in love forms the crux.

Performances:

Nani delivers a stellar performance as Varun, a simple boy next door role. He is convincing and natural especially in the climax. Nani yet again proved that he is a good performer.

Samantha is extremely gorgeous and has pulled off the role Nithya with three distinct roles as a school girl, college going youngster and a matured woman. Samantha pulls of the role with ease and her expressions are a treat. Samantha is an asset and highlight of Yeto Vellipoindi Manasu. Her fans will be rejoiced.

Krishnudu does a comic role and he is impressive with one liners. Others were adequate.

Technical Analysis:

Ilayaraja’s musical scores are classy and melodious which are aesthetically shot by the makers. Cinematography is subdued and the crucial scenes are taken in long shots, care should have been taken on the camera placement. However, all the songs are beautifully captured. Gautham Menon’s direction as usual is good while the screenplay is tad slow though had many gripping moments. Editing could have been better.

Analysis:

The romantic scenes are well shot and Ilayaraja’s background score and songs compliments the proceeding quite well. The only issue of YVM is its slow pace. The first half drags a lot though Gautham Menon’s narration and lead actors fine performances keeps you hooked. The long break-up scenes and the arguments could have been shortened though. The story deals with young couple who are in love but also breaks-up several times for minor issues. Possessiveness, difference of opinions, arguments between the couples and this leads to break-up are all realistically shown that many would relate to their real lives. Crisp editing and better dialogues could have made Yeto Vellipoindi Manasu a perfect watch.

Final Verdict:

Yeto Vellipoindi Manasu entertains with feel good romance, if you look beyond its tad slow pace.

Devaraya Movie Review

Film: Devaraya
Rating:2/5
Starring: Srikanth,Meenakshi Dikshit,Vidisha
Director: Nani Krishna
Producer: Kiran Jakkam Shetty,Nani Krishna
Banner: Sun Ray International
Music: Chakri

Story:

Dorababu (Srikanth), a rich village guy lives life in a happy way enjoying with friends. He tries to impress Swapna (Vidisha), who comes to see his grand father (Ranganath) in the village and the latter reciprocates to him seeing his good nature. In the meantime, (Sivaji Raja) an archaeologist discovers some items belonging to Sri Kirshna Devaraya in Godavari Delta and with the help of Ranganath, tries to investigate further and he trieds to translate a diary which conveys that there is a connection between Dora Babu and Lord Krishna Devaraya? What is this connection and what happens next form the rest of the story.

Performances:

Actor Srikanth has tried to convince in the role of Lord Krishna Devaraya while he has done Dora Babu kind of roles earlier. He took care on the diction and dialogue delivery but the script does not help him anyway.

Vidisha is good and glamorous in the film while Meenakshi Dixit is weak in her expressions. Balayya, Sivaji Raja, MS Narayana, Ranganath filled the screen with their notable performances.

Technical Analysis:

Chakri’s musical scores fails to please while the background score is loud. Cinematography by Poorna is fine and Nani Krishna’s direction is poor. Screenplay had lots of loophole while the editing is pathetic and dialogues by Veerababu are poor. Production values are okay.

Analysis:

Devaraya is based on socio-fantasy story but the plot is poorly scripted and the story never takes off in the first half. It takes off in the second half and then too many songs in the film hinder the flow and the placement is terrible. Logic has gone for a toss big-time and the director needs to be blamed for it. The admirers of Krishna Devaraya might disappoint with the film with the flaws and the illogical proceedings. Choosing a glorious king like Krishna Devaraya and showcasing him with a love affair with a dancer may not gel well with audiences. The climax is very poorly shot.

Final Verdict:

It’s hard for Devaraya to sustain at the Box-Office.

Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Review

Film: Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum
Rating:3.25/5
Starring: Rana,Nayanatara
Director: Krish
Producer: Saibabu Jagarlamudi, Y Rajeev Reddy
Banner: First Frame Entertainments
Music: Mani Sharma

Story:

B.Tech Babu (Rana) plans to fly to US and waits for his visa as he is not interested in taking the legacy of theater artist of his grand father Subrahmanyam (Kota Srinivasa Rao) He feels that there isn’t any use in these dramas. Subrahmanyam doesn’t like this but requests B.Tech Babu to perform in one last drama Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum in their hometown Bellary. While his grandfather dies without seeing the drama, Btech Babu in order to fulfill his grandfather’s last wish leaves to Bellary. He comes across Devika (Nayanatara) in Bellary and her thoughts make him realize new responsibilities. Devika is a documentary filmmaker who tries to expose illegal mining mafia of Reddappa (Milind Gunaaji). Rest of the story is to be watched on big-screens.

Performances:

Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum is Rana’s challenging role and he proves he is the perfect fit for the bill for the role of B.Tech Babu. Rana’s different getups and his dialogues and diction in dramatic characters impress you. KVJ is Rana’s career best performance considering his emotional scenes, dialogue delivery and body language.

Nayanatara is beautiful and has a significant role in the story. Her performance is good, and it’s commendable that she dubbed herself for her challenging role in the film.

Venkatesh’s cameo in song brings loads of cheers from fans while Sameera Reddy is hot in the song with sizzling dance moves.

Kota Srinivasa Rao is brief but leaves his mark, Posani Krishna Murali as Tippu Sultan and Brahmanandam as Rampam are entertaining; Raghu Babu has a crucial role, LB Sriram is fine. Others were adequate.

Technical Analysis:

Mani Sharma’s music is good and the songs were well-shot with Jaruguthunnadi Jagannatakam, Arere Pasimanasa and Sameera Reddy’s song standout. Mani Sharma’s background score is the biggest asset. Gnanasekhar cinematography is top-class and dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra are brilliant. Screenplay is good and editing is crisp. Production values are standard.

Analysis:

Director Krish takes up a challenging plotline for KVJ like his previous films and he successfully conveys a message through it incorporating the commercial. Few of the dialogues “Kala anedhi brathuku ichide kadu brathuku nerpedhi”, “Adhi kalaa nidhra lo kanedhi...idhi khala nidhra lepedhi” and Nayanatara’s dialogue on birth are quite good ones. Besides Rana, and Krish’s narration, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum dialogues and Mani Sharma’ background score are special highlights. Songs placement hinders the flow of the screenplay. Graphics could have been much better in the first half and the film has some bloopers, nonetheless the minor loopholes can be overlooked for a meaningful film KVJ. The interval bang and pre-interval scenes, pre climax episodes are well-shot while the climax song and scenes are excellent.

Final Verdict:

A Good Watch… Go for it!!!

Routine Love Story Movie Review

Film : Routine Love Story
Cast : Sandeep, Regina, Krishnudu,Bharat..
Rating:2.75/5
Producer : Chanakya Booneti
Director : Praveen SattaruStar
Music Director : Mickey J Meyer

Story:

You expect a lot of story from such a title but the movie will take you by surprise. This Romantic comedy is based on a youthful love story between Sanjay and Tanvi played by Sundeep Kishan of Prasthanam fame and Regina who made her earlier appearance in SMS. How their love wins at the end of the movie would form the rest of the movie.

The movie is entwined with healthy humorous comedy from M S Narayana and there is no need for a loo break in the movie with comedians like Vennela Kishore, Master Bharath, Hema, Krishnudu, Thagubothu Ramesh continuously tickling your funny bones.

Analysis :

Great job by the director who had not a very novel theme but a entirely new way of looking at it. Praveen Sattaru has done far much better compared to his previous movie LBW. Screenplay was awesome bringing RLS to life. Editing by Dharmendra was not upto the mark but this one being a romantic comedy that immerses you, it is negligible.

The plot leaves much to be desired and comedy tracks often take helm of the movie rather than it being a story oriented movie.

Songs by Mickey J Mayer are pleasant as always. A few songs take us back to our own love stories, which are quite routine and real.

Performance :

The protagonists of the movie did ok as Sanju and Tanvi. The whole credit of the movie being watchable goes to M S Narayana and Troupe. Thagubothu Ramesh Scenes were hilarious. Vennela Kishore never disappoints.

Final Word:
A good entertaining flick that you can choose if you are not in the mood for an action flick like Damarukam for this weekend.

Dhamarukam Movie Review

Film: Damarukam
Rating:3/5
Starring: Nagarjuna,Anushka,Prakash Raj
Director: Srinivasa Reddy
Producer: Venkat
Banner: RR Movie Makers
Music: Devi Sri Prasad

Story:

Malli (Nagarjuna) is an auto driver who falls for Maheshwari (Anushka Shetty) who was born with supernatural powers. Andhakasura (Ravi Shankar) the left out survivor in the Suras and Asuras battle comes to know that he would conquer the panchabhuthas if he marries Maheswari, that too with her own wish. Andhakasura changes his avatar and enters Maheswari house. How Malli saves her from Andhakasura forms the crux

Performances:

Nagarjuna is mesmerizing as usual and has taken ample care for the role to get into the skin of the character. His six-pack and Aghora characters are refreshing and perfect.

Anushka is gorgeous on-screens and the story revolves around her character but the actress has limited role. Her chemistry with Nagarjuna rocked and the songs are a visual treat.

Ravi Shankar has rocked the screens with his evil role. His diction and dialogues are perfect, he looked extremely villainous. He has amazing screen presence that he overshadowed Nag in few scenes. Prakash Raj is not apt as Lord Shiva though he delivers as a performer, Brahmanandam is hilarious, Ganesh Venkataraman leaves his mark. Others are adequate.

Technical Analysis:

Music by Devi Sri Prasad is an asset for the film. While the songs were ear-pleasing, the back ground score elevated the scenes. Situational song Siva Siva Shankara is great on-screens. Chota K Naidu cinematography is fine and DI work, color grading and images are good. Editing by Gautham Raju is inconsistent. Production values are lavish.

Analysis:

Damarukam boasts off its lavish technical values, the Vfx works are amazing while the story has interesting plot though it somehow reminds you of the Pathala Bhairavi and Bhaiarava Dweepam storylines. The second half has thrilling moments and the last half an hour is the real asset. Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagawan MS Narayana did comic roles but the director should have taken much care on comedy elements and etching of characterizations. Devi Sri Prasad’s music, VFX works and Ravi Shankar as Andhakasura are major assets of Damarukam. The core scenes related to the story involving Nagarjuna, Ravi Shankar have come out well.

Srinivas Reddy has come up with an interesting plot and has executed well but the screenplay is quite predictable in the movie. Damarukam has a great style but less substance.

Final Verdict:

A decent entertainer, but could have been much better
