Mahesh, Srinu Vytla next Aagadu

Super Star Mahesh Babu has signed up yet another film with his Dookudu director Srinu Vytla and the film has been titled Aagadu as per the latest reports.

Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta who had produced Dookudu are producing this movie too under the 14 Reels Entertainment banner. It is worth mentioning that the producers are currently making a film in Sukumar direction that has Mahesh in the lead.

The film will move onto the sets after Srinu Vytla wrapping up his current project Baadshah with Jr.NTR in the lead role.

Dil Raju’s next production ‘Lover’

Dil Raju has informed his next project in a recent interview that it would be directed Vasu Verma and the film has been titled as Lover. The title has been registered already and it will be made under the renowned banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Dil Raju said, “Vasu Verma has narrated a beautiful script and we have titled it Lover. The script work has already been completed and a young hero will play the lead role in the movie. We will begin the regular shooting shortly.”

Other details of the film are yet to be announced by the makers while besides direction, Vasu Verma is penning the story and screenplay. The film is to be co-produced by Sirish and Laxman.

Ongole Githa releasing on February 1

Energetic Star Ram’s Ongole Githa is gearing up for a grand scale release on February 1. The audio has been launched a couple of days back and it is earning good response. GV Prakash composed the scores while Mani Sharma provided the background score along with a song composition.

Ongole Githa is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and produced by BVSN Prasad on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Pvt Ltd banner. Ram will be seen in a mass role in this commercial entertainer and his dances and his characterization are going to be the highlights of the film. Kriti Kharbandha is the female lead in the movie.

Allu Arjun’s risky stunts for Iddarammayilatho

Stylish Star Allu Arjun has shot for Iddarammayilatho in Bangkok and few action sequences are filmed. The actor who happens to look quite stylish in this romantic action entertainer is said to be doing several risky stunts for the movie.  The stunt masters are all praises for the actor for his hard work.

Amala Paul, the female lead of the movie will be seen in an ultra glamorous role while Katherine Tresa is playing the other female lead in this Ganesh Babu production movie being made under Parameshwara Arts Production banner. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director of Iddarammayilatho and Amol Rathod is the director of photography.

Mahesh, Puri Jagannadh film Tapori?

After the two successful hits Pokiri and Businessman, Super Star Mahesh Babu and dashing director Puri Jagannadh are soon teaming up for a new film and the buzz is that it has been titled as Tapori.

Parameshwara Arts banner has recently registered the title Tapori at film chamber and sources inform that it is the combo of Mahesh Babu, Puri Jagannadh movie. Ganesh Babu will produce the movie. However, it will take sometime for the film to commence shooting as Mahesh is busy with Sukumar directorial after which he has a line up of interesting projects with directors Sreenu Vaitla and Krish.

Let’s wait for an official announcement on Mahesh Babu’s Tapori.

Nagarjuna film titled Greekveerudu?

Nagarjuna, Dasarath latest combo movie that has been under shooting from sometime is tentatively titled Love Story and the makers also informed that it’s the working title.

Now, here is the latest buzz that the film has been titled Greekveerudu though there are reports earlier that ‘Sari Leru Neekevvaru’ is the title under consideration. Nagarjuna is paring up with Nayanatara in the film while Meera Chopra is the other heroine.

D Sivaprasad Reddy of Kamakshi Kala Movies Banner is producing Greekveerudu and Thaman is the music director. The first look of Greekveerudu will be launched on January last week.

Baadshah Movie release date out

Young Tiger Jr.NTR is all set to hit the big-screens with his most awaited Baadshah on April 5 for this summer.

Baadshah is an action entertainer that has good action, comedy, romance, drama and emotions scripted by Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan. Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead and the film is lavishly being produced by Ganesh Babu on Parameswara Arts production banner.

Jr.NTR will be seen in two different roles in the movie and he is quite confident on the outcome. The new schedule has commenced on 16th January and with this the entire shooting gets wrapped up. Baadshah audio composed by Thaman will be launched on March 10th.

Nayak 7 Days Collections

Ram Charan’s Telugu film Nayak has collected around Rs 27.44 cr after its 7th day at box office in AP.  The film has done exceptionally well in its 7 days run at worldwide box office.

Nayak opened to an earth shattering response at the box office and collected Rs11.25 crore on its first day on 9th Jan at box office on all the screens released worldwide. On its 2nd day the film showed an unprecedented jump of 66% and went on to collect Rs17.04 crore at the worldwide box office and further collected Rs 14.70 cr on its 3rd day.

Ram Charan Nayak has broke the previous highest opening weekend box office record held by Gabbar Singh (Rs22 cr) by collecting Rs23.64 crore in its opening weekend. The film collected around Rs3.80 cr on its 7thday and total 7 days collection of Naayak now stands an Rs 27.44 crore in AP.

Nayak first weekend box office collection was hugely affected by SVSC in AP which beat out Nayak in the weekend run at box office. Nayak had the benfit of early release on 9th jan Wednesday, so the film collected historical amount in its first 2 days run worldwide.

Posani's role gets good response in Naayak

Telugu actor-filmmaker Posani Krishna Murali, who was recently seen in Telugu action-thriller "Naayak", feels comedy is the safest genre of all and guarantees a high success rate.

"Even though audiences loved 'Naayak' for its full length commercial presentation, they also loved it for the comedy, which was an integral part of the film. Comedy is a very safe genre as it helps the audience to enjoy despite the quality of the film," Krishna said.

"Not all commercial films have been successful but seldom do you see audience ignoring a full length comedy film," he said and added that the success of Telugu comedies "Sudigadu" and "Seema Shastry" proves his theory.

Murali essayed Sultan Bhai in "Naayak", which had a host of comedians, including Brahmanadam, M.S. Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy and Raghu Babu.

Posani, also a well-known writer, has written and directed Telugu films such as "Mental Krishna" and "Operation Duryodhana".

Asked does he personally prefer comedy over other genres, he said: "I strongly believe comedy gives audience a strong reason to come to cinemas because any viewer would love to get entertained. All my films have good amount of comedy and audience have loved it".

Ongole Githa audio launch today

Energetic Star Ram’s ‘Ongole Githa’ audio is scheduled for a launch on January 16th on a grand scale at Annapoorna 7 Acres complex.

Ram has informed the news, “OngoleGitha "SUDDEN" AUDIO RELEASE tomorrow.. Just decided by the producer..on the Song Set in Annapurna Studios 7acres..” The commercial mass entertainer is being produced by BVSN Prasad on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Pvt Ltd banner.

Bommarillu Bhaskar is the director of the film casting Kriti Kharbandha as the female lead and Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Abhimanyu Singh, Ahuti Prasad in prominent roles. GV Prakash is the music director of the movie.

Naga Chaitanya signs Hello Brother remake

Naga Chaitanya has signed up the remake of Nagarajuna starrer Hello Brother that was a blockbuster at the Box-Office in 1994. The original version had Soundarya and Ramya Krishna as the leading ladies and the film was an action cum comedy entertainer that had Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Mallikarjuna Rao in prominent roles.

Now, Naga Chaitanya’s version of the film has also been titled as Hello Brother and the actor will play dual roles for the first time pairing up with current heartthrobs Samantha and Tamanna.

Srinivas Reddy of Damarukam fame will wield the megaphone for the remake version of EVV Satyanarayana directorial and D.Siva Prasad Reddy of Kamakshi movies will produce the film.

It's a baby girl for actor Karthi

Actor Karthi is on cloud nine after he became a proud father of a girl. His wife Ranjini gave birth to their daughter in Apollo Hospital here Friday.

"Karthi has two reasons to be happy today - while his Tamil film 'Alex Pandian' released today worldwide to overwhelming response, he has also become a father of a baby girl. Both the mother and baby are fine," read a statement.

"The baby was born around 3 p.m. in Apollo hospital here," the statement added.

Karthi tied the knot with Ranjini July 3, 2011 in Coimbatore. "Alex Pandian" is directed by Suraaj and features Karthi in the lead alongside Anushka Shetty and Santhanam.

Samantha heroine in Bellamkonda son debut film

If the sources are to be believed, gorgeous actress Samantha is being considered for the leading lady in producer Bellmakonda Suresh’s son Sai Srinivas debut movie.

VV Vinayak will wield the megaphone for the film. It is known that director VV Vinayak has been introduced to Tollwyood with Jr.NTR starrer Aadi that was produced by Bellamkonda Suresh and the latter has also said many times that Vinayak is his dear friend and well-wisher. Now, the duo will team up for the new film introducing Bellamkonda Suresh son while the former will produce it with a high budget.

The formal announcement of the film is expected to be made shortly and the film will hit the floors in the month of March.

'Vishwaroopam' to release Jan 25: Kamal Haasan

Rebuffing all rumours circulating around the release of his forthcoming film "Vishwaroopam", actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan says the movie will hit the screens worldwide Jan 25.

"Based on unstinted support of Tamil Nadu theatre owners and distributors fraternity, 'Vishwaroopam' will release on Jan 25," Kamal said in a statement.

"My film ('Vishwaroopam') will be released in not less than 500 screens in Tamil Nadu," he added.

"Vishwaroopam" was scheduled to first premier on Direct-To-Home (DTH) platform Jan 10, but the event was called off following stiff protests by theatre owners. However, Kamal Haasan has now reiterated that the film will also be released via DTH, but the date has not been finalised yet.

"I appreciate the exhibitors and distributors for having understood my vision of creating new revenue stream for film producing community through DTH," said Kamal Haasan.

The film, which stars Kamal in the title role, also features Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja in the lead. Rahul Bose, Shekhar Kapur and Jaideep Ahlawat are among other actors in the movie.

Kamal, 58, has written, directed and produced "Vishwaroopam", which will also be released in Telugu with the same name, while in Hindi it will release as "Vishwaroop".

Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have composed the music for the film, which has cinematography by Sanu Verghese.

Mr.Pellikoduku audio for Pongal

Sunil’s forthcoming film Mr.Pellikoduku under Super Good Films presented by RB Choudary is will have its audio launch for Pongal. Produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain, Mr.Pellikoduku is directed by Devi Prasad.

Isha Chawla is pairing up with actor Sunil in the film, which is the remake of a super duper hit Bollywood film 'Tanu Weds Manu'. The makers have made changes to the Telugu version to suit the Telugu nativitiy. SA Rajkumar is the music director of the film and Sameer Reddyis the cinematographer.

Other supporting cast of Mr.Pellikoduku includes Ali, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, LB Sriram, Ahuti Prasad, Ravibabu, MS Narayana.

Praneetha in Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram film

Power Star Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram Srinivas combo film will commence the regular shooting of the movie from January 22.

The film was earlier launched in the month of November. Samantha is playing the female lead and the latest buzz is Praneetha is being considered for the other lead role in the film though an official announcement is to be made by the makers. Praneetha debuted in Siddharth’s Bava and she was recently seen in Sakuni film with Karthi.

B.V.S.N. Prasad is producing the film on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Pvt Ltd. Devi Sri Prasad will compose the musical scores. The film is touted to be a youthful family entertainer with powerful dialogues.

Ongole Gitta release in January end week

Telugu producer B.V.S.N. Prasad describes Ram as one of the most energetic actors in filmdom and says his energetic persona was apt for the role in forthcoming film "Ongole Gitta".

"Ram is one of the most energetic heroes in the industry. He's like a livewire," Prasad said.

"'Ongole Gitta' is a commercial entertainer. Therefore, 'Ram's very apt for the film," he said and added: "We've made the film in such a way that his character is better than the energetic roles he has played in films such as 'Ready' and 'Kandireega'."

"Ongole Gitta", directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, also stars Kriti Kharbanda.

"We're left with shooting of one song. We hope to release the film during Republic Day weekend," said Prasad. The audio will be released on January 12.

G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film, which also stars Prakash Raj, Abhimanyu Singh, Brahmanandam, Raghubabu and Rama Prabha.

Praising the director's skills, Prasad said: "Bhaskar knows how to add appropriate amount of commercial elements into the film without defeating its purpose."

Nagarjuna film titled Sari Leru Neekevvaru

Nagarjuna and director Dasaradh are teaming up for Santhosham earlier that was a blockbuster success and now the duo once again set for an urbane family entertainer which has been under shoot for a while.

Now, the latest news is Sari Leru Neekevvaru is the title of the film while we have earlier heard Love Story as its title. However, a formal announcement regarding the title is expected soon by the filmmakers.

Nagarjuna is pairing up with Nayanthara in the film while it also casts Meera Chopra in an important role. Produced by D Sivaprasad Reddy under Kamakshi Movies banner, Sari Leru Neekevvaru has musical scores by SS Thaman.

Young Rebel StarPrabhas Mirchi audiowill be launched grandly on 5th January on Saturday at Ramanaidu Studios, Nanakramguda.
